Understanding Neurodiversity in Yoga Spaces

  • Yogalife Studios 124th 10411 124 Street Edmonton, AB, T5N 3Z5 Canada (map)

The aim of this workshop is to create a safe and inclusive environment for yoga practitioners of all abilities and neurotypes.

Throughout the workshop, participants will learn about the different types of neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, chronic anxiety, etc, and how they can impact a person's experience with yoga.

This workshop will also cover strategies for creating a welcoming and accommodating yoga practice for individuals with neurological differences, including modifications and variations for poses and breathing techniques.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions and activities to help them gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those who are neurodiverse, and how to provide inclusive and supportive yoga instruction. This workshop is ideal for yoga teachers, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about the ever-changing world of neurodiversity.
