Communication With You
We strictly follow the Canadian anti-spam legislation requirements for contacting our guests. There are three general requirements for sending a commercial electronic message (CEM) to an electronic address:
An unsubscribe mechanism (which can be found at the footer of our email newsletter)
Identification information from the business
Consent - either express or implied.
Express consent requires an opt-in mechanism to receive communications. The Yogalife Inc. newsletter has a manual opt-in available on digital channels.
Implied consent can include email addresses that were given to a business. Implied consent for Yogalife includes offering your email address to Yogalife on a waiver or as a part of your registration process for your Yogalife profile.
The law allows for companies to contact people who have both express and implied consent. Those who have implied consent can be contacted for up to 36 months since the last activity between the business and the guest.
Note: Emails that are considered a part of an on-going relationship (including an active pass product or membership) do not require express consent in order to inform these consumers. Thus registered users may receive email communications from us directly relating to their experience - such as notification is a credit card has not gone through.
