Week 1: Focused Attention, Keeping Your Eye on the Ball

In this opening class, we'll explore the concept of attention and the power of drishti (known in yoga as focused gaze) in enhancing concentration and alignment. Through specialized yoga sequences, we'll sharpen your visual acuity, improve eye-hand coordination, and pursue presence on the green.

Week 2: Balance and Stability

A solid foundation is essential for a powerful golf swing. In this session, we'll focus on cultivating balance and stability through a series of yoga postures specifically designed to strengthen your core, improve proprioception, and enhance overall stability. You'll develop a grounded stance, enabling you to maintain control and precision throughout your swing.

Week 3: Opening Hips for Fluidity

The hips are the powerhouse for generating rotational force in your swing. In this class, we'll target the hip joints and surrounding muscles to increase range of motion, release tension, and promote fluidity in your swing. Through hip-opening yoga poses, you'll unlock greater mobility and unleash your full swing potential.

Week 4: Meditation & Letting Go of Golfing Frustration

Golfing can sometimes be frustrating, and it's important to find ways to release that tension. In this session, we'll incorporate meditation techniques specifically tailored for golfers. You'll learn how to cultivate a calm and focused mind, let go of frustration, and maintain a positive mindset on and off the course. Prepare to find inner peace amidst the challenges of the game.

Week 5: Shoulder Mobility with Golf Clubs

Shoulder mobility is crucial for a smooth and powerful swing. In this class, we'll incorporate golf clubs to explore movements that help increase flexibility and strength in your shoulders. We'll guide you through twists and rotations, allowing you to find greater freedom and ease of movement in your swing.

Week 6: Focus, Breath-work, Strength, and Yin Poses

In our final class, we'll bring together all the elements of the program to create a well-rounded yoga practice. We'll focus on enhancing mental clarity, refining breath control, building strength in key golfing muscles, and incorporating soothing yin poses for deep relaxation and recovery. You'll leave feeling rejuvenated, balanced, and ready to take your golf game to the next level.

Each class will begin with a gentle warm-up to prepare your body and mind for the practice, and conclude with a series of recovery poses to promote muscle relaxation and reduce post-golfing soreness.
